I am listing this rifle in the hopes than someone out there knows this particular Henry rifle and how it came to be. It just came in on consignment and the current owner (widow) knows very little about it except that her husband owned it for some time. The engraved silver washed receiver looks as though it could be period. The barrel assembly looks newly made. Sights look hand made. Work is outstanding. A Mexican Eagle on one side and a Grizzly Bear on the other. The serial number is 111880. Surely in the USA gun community there is someone out there who knows the story behind this exceptional center fire Henry and is willing to share the information with us. Please contact me.
