"SN:2619Colt 1877 Lightning Sheriff's Model .38 caliber revolver. Of 1877 vintage. Early gun, made in the first year of production. Action works perfectly. Has a very scarce 3.5" barrel lined with bright rifling in an excellent bore. This gun has the etched panel caliber marking which is clearly legible ""COLT D.A. 38"". Nickel is excellent with nearly 90% of its' original bluing still visible. Grips are fantastic originals without a chip in sight. Superior example of an early, scarce, 3.5"" Colt Lightning Sheriff's model.
