Description:
Rare Remington rolling block, round top early manufacture, in rare 50-70 cal. Has heavy 28" octagon barrel, rough and ready rear sight, folding beech front, and single set trigger. Good wood with few nicks and scratches,the action still has traces of faded case colors. Barrel bluing is faint as pictures show. Wood to metal fit very tight. This rifle is practically the stable mate to Custer's rolling block. One of my books has a pic of him with a newly killed elk. He has a roller that looks close to this one. I've been collecting rollers for over 25+ years. This is as close to new that I have owned. I am 73 now and time to let someone else be the steward.
