SN: 120130. Made in 1899 with a 22-inch barrel chambered for the .30-40 Government rifle cartridge. Overall excellent condition with a bright bore that presents strong rifling & a handsome stock with no scratches or cracks but four very small dings & dents on the right side. Includes the 1896 type rear sight assembly & a saddle ring. Springfield Research Services has this serial number as a 1898 Carbine that was issued to the 5th USV Infantry Co. H, they would only see fighting in the Philippines during the War of 1900. A great carbine with some history!
