Description:
This is an interesting Sharps New Model 1863 that was converted to accept cartridge ammunition, and then subsequentley converted into a sporting rifle by a dealer, such as E. C. Meacham & Co of St. Louis, Missouri. SN: C33065. The .40 cal. barrel, partially marked Remington, measures in at around 34 inches, and is tapered, with the rifling remaining in fair condition. The exact cartridge is unknown. The action works as it should, and the lockplate was professionally ground down as part of the conversion.. The wood is in fair condition, with some chips and cracks that are to be expected with old sporting rifles. Notably, there is some checkering on the stock that is comparable to other confirmed Meacham conversions. The metal finish is fairly worn, however there is not any pitting that I can see.

If you have any questions, or would like any other pictures, do not hesitate to ask.

The payment methods listed are the only ones that I will accept.
