Description:
For your consideration is a Winchester Model 71 chambered in .348 Winchester. The Model 71 was a slightly improved model 1886 and, with very few exceptions, only chambered in .348 Winchester. Manufactured in 1954, this particular rifle features a 24-inch blued barrel and tubular "half magazine" that holds 4 cartridges. One of the most powerful rimmed rounds ever used in a lever action rifle, the .348 Winchester round was introduced in 1936 and was developed for the Winchester Model 71 rifle. This rifle would be a great "big game" gun. .348 Winchester
