Payment Types Accepted: Cashier's Check, Money Order, Certified Check Description: This is a spectacular example of a rare late production Baby Nambu Officer's pistol, made by Tokyo Gas and Electric company(TGE) in early 1920s. This particular gun is the 4th to the last known gun made with its serial number listed in Derby/Brown book. Only about 500 - 600 baby Nambus were made by TGE as opposed to over 5800 made by the Tokyo arsenal and as a result are rarely encountered. These were purchased privately by high ranking Japanese officers. This is a complete vet "bring back" rig from the Pacific theater, and is complete with original holster and a spare non matching magazine. The gun is in near mint condition with beautiful deep original rust blue with practically no wear except for a couple of small areas of very light peppering near the TGE logo and on the right side of the frame, and couple of tiny rub marks by the sear pin on the left side. These are visible at a certain angle and when the gun is heavily oiled. The grips are mint and the grip straps barely show any wear. The gun is all matching including the grips and the magazine and has a mint bore. I doubt it was ever fired. The holster is in excellent condition as well and has a arsenal and date stamp on the inside of the flap. It comes with an original and super rare shoulder strap. It has all intact stitching and nice supple leather. The serial number and the TGE logo on the gun still have its original off white filler. This is the rarest and the most desirable variation of a baby Nambu pistol in superb original condition, with all the original accessories. it would be near impossible to upgrade. Alternatively, the gun can be purchased without a spare mag or holster for $9500. 3-day inspection. $100 insured shipping in CONUS FFL or C&R(where allowed) is required. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
