Description:
This is an antique Winchester 1886 rifle with serial number 74538 and was shipped in 1893. It has a good bore with strong rifling but does have some corrosion from corrosive priming. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The 1886 model was built like a tank, very tough and strong. The receiver retains 35% blue and the barrel outside appears to have been lightly cleaned 5-11 inches from the muzzle. This should still be a very good shooter with proper loads.
