Description:
This 1926 side-by-side double barrel shotgun is a Franz Kettner chambered in 16 Gauge. It has a fixed round brass bead front sight, 29" barrels with full length textured rib, a steel butt plate, double triggers, a round knob, diamond checkered pistol grip stock and European style sling loops top and bottom. The water table is marked 9/26. The action is tight and functions perfectly. Measurements: 14 inch LOP (front trigger to back of butt-plate). This is a very attractive, high end in quality, double barrel shotgun. A fantastic example of its type. The finish on the metal is in very good condition, with no noticeable rust or pitting and with a great patina. The hardwood forearm and butt stock are in very good to excellent condition, with no noticeable scratches, marks, chips or cracks. The bore is mirror bright and shiny. The right barrel is marked on top FRANZ KETTNER; left barrel is marked KOLN - SUHL and both are stamped KLETT FLUSS STAHL on the bottom with serial number 2564 matching that on the receiver and forearm. This gun has a checkered European style stock with a cheek rest. 16 Gauge
