Description:
Winchester model 1873 .44-40 caliber carbine. Serial #345622, 1890 manufacture. Standard 20" barrel. Bore has good rifling, it could use a good cleaning. All metal surfaces are a gray/brown age patina. Sights include a carbine blade front and an "1873" marked folding ladder carbine rear. Tang stamped "MODEL 1873". Barrel address is excellent. Original saddle ring and dust cover. Action functions correctly. Brass block with "44 CAL.". Safety notch does not hold. Walnut stocks are in good condition but does have a few dings from handling. Also a carved "CRC" on the left side of the buttstock. This carbine has that nice old western look.
