This is a very nice S&W model 36 - NO DASH - pinned 2-7/8\" barrel. It does show some very minute signs of pitting, and only minor nicks in the bluing. Still in fantastic shape for it‚‚s era. It has the round butt and the cylinder locks up nice and tight.

The Model 36 was designed in the era just after World War II, when Smith & Wesson stopped producing war materials and resumed normal production. For the Model 36, they sought to design a revolver that could fire the more powerful .38 Special round in a small, concealable package.
