Description:
This Colorado Centennial Commemorative (1876 - 1976) single action revolver is a Sturm, Ruger & Co New Model Single-Six chambered in .22 LR and .22 Mag. It has a fixed serrated blade ramp front sight, a square-notched blade adjustable rear sight, a stainless steel grip frame, and a smooth curved stainless steel trigger and hammer. The revolver bears "1876 * Colorado Centennial * U.S. Bicentennial * 1776" rollmark on the left side of barrel, "1876 Colorado 1976" roll marks on bottom of frame and both cylinders show a big horn ram, a miner, "76" inside a circle, the Rocky Mountains and "Colorado The Centennial State 1876-1976" Centennial state scenes. The revolver rests in a hinged walnut presentation case with color centennial logo on lid and royal blue baize French-fitted interior with Ruger logo on interior of lid. This firearm appears to be unfired. The blued and stainless steel finishes are in excellent condition. Likewise, the Sturm Ruger monogrammed emblem rosewood grips are in excellent condition. In addition to the display case, it comes with a similarly engraved .22 Magnum cylinder. This revolver is one of only 15,000 and each cylinder has special roll engraving depicting significant details from Colorado history and lore as captured for Ruger by the well-known artist, James Triggs, making it a highly sought after piece. Even rarer is the walnut display case that only had 500 of them made. The commemorative display case is in excellent condition. This is a super nice and highly collectable piece. .22 Long Rifle/.22 Mag
