Description:
A prime example of 1960's Colt quality, this lovely Woodsman Match Target is an ideal addition to a collection, and a splendid shooter. This is my personal pistol, and overall, it's in excellent condition, with only minor finish wear to the base of the grip, slide rails, and a speck at the muzzle, all pictured.
Not often found in the 4.5" variant, this Match Target is a work of art, as many Colt's from that era are. This pistol is accompanied by it's original factory box, blank warranty card, sight tool, instruction manual, Elliason rear sight notice, and a factory test target, signed and dated 10/22/65 by the legendary Otto Engelhardt. Colt's in this condition from this era are becoming more and more sought after, and few are of that ideal combination of collectability and shootability as this one! Fantastic sight picture, slide is silky smooth, and the trigger wonderfull crisp. Factory grips fill the hand nicely without being too chunky like a Smith 41 or the like, and the bluing and engraving are deep, lustrous, and crisp.
