Description:
This lovely little Stevens 5100 is a really nice example of the increasingly scarce .410 American doubles. These guns were built incredibly well, and this gun is no different. 28" barrels with approximately F/F chokes, a mid bead, checkered original wood and double triggers- it's got it all! This would be a great rabbit or small game gun, or clays gun for the shooter looking for a challenge, or a new shooter looking to learn. These vinateg American small bore guns have become hard to find and command steep premiums. This is a chance to get into one for a fair price that you would be proud to shoot and hunt with!
I believe the barrels may have been reblued at some point, but the receiver retains a lot of original case colors, and tastefully inlaid engraving, likely with a gold/bronze powder kit popular at that point. Very striking gun. 14.25" LoP to hard buttplate. Slender splinter forearm bearing nice checkering that was common on these guns from that era.
