An Early & Very Rare Original Civil War Confederate Large Arsenal Brass Buckshot Mold For A LeMat Revolver In Nice Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The large mold has very untouched brass throughout that has a very dark untouched patina on it. It shows tiny dings from use throughout. The inside of the mold makes 23 buckshot balls for the LeMat Revolver. The wood handles are also original and show normal wear to them. The mold measures 18 1/2 inches in length and 1 7/8 inches wide. It is 1 1/2 inches high. This Very Rare LeMat Mold was used only at the arsenal and was used together with another LeMat Mold that made either .36 or .42 caliber balls on one side and buckshot on the other. The heavy arsenal mold weighs 10 pounds. I Have Researched This Mold Thoroughly And It Appears That It Is The Only One Known At This Time. This Mold Came From A Very Old Collection In Virginia. This Is A Very Rare Original Civil War Confederate Large Arsenal Brass Buckshot Mold For A LeMat Revolver That Is In Nice Untouched Condition. It would be A Fantastic Addition To Any Confederate Collection!
