Description:
This is a rare "combat" version of a Mateba automatic revolver in .357 magnum, in almost new condition with box, paperwork and accessories. With under a 1000 of guns made, Mateba Unica is the only automatic revolver made in addition to a Webley Fosbery revolver that was made at the turn of last century. The gun is an ingenious design that allows for a barrel assembly/upper frame to glide over the lower frame, while turning the cylinder and cocking the hammer, thus providing a single action for every shot. In addition, the barrel alignes with a lower cylinder chamber, reducing recoil significantly.
This particular gun retains 99% plus of its original finish with just a few tiny spots of handling wear too small to appear in the pictures and a couple of tiny spots of cycling wear on the aluminum barrel extension. The rest is just light reflection on the deep high polished blue. Grips and bore are mint. The gun comes cased with all the factory paperwork, a disassembly tool, barrel removal tool and recoil springs for converting to .38 special. The 4-inch combat model is the most difficult variation of Mateba to find. Very few are in US and the company is long out of business.
