These...the lst gen 444's with the distinctive 24" barrel and half mag are among the most interesting and attractive of all of the Marlin Levers. Chambered in powerful 444 these were the first levers in the "modern" era (1966) to be chambered in a cal capable of taking any animal on the planet and unlike earlier ( Win 86/71) with side ejection could be and were designed to be scoped. We bring in every one of these we can if clean and near new like this one. These were made for several years starting in 1965 and this is a 2d yr (1966 AB Ser. Prefix) production gun.
Except for a very small area on barrel and a little chicken scratch on rite side of butt stock near lever it is not much different from when it left the now closed Marlin Factory just 45 Mins from our door....This gun is in collector condtion but priced as a shooter.
