Description:
Italian M1871 Vetterli Bayonet
- Officially modified for use in WWI
- Blades were shortened and their hooked quillon removed for issue to front line troops using the 1891 Carcano infantry rifle and carbine
- 9 1/8" blade with blood groove on each side
- 14 1/4" overall length
- Crosspiece stamped with the s/n of the Carcano rifle it was re-issued with
- S/N VZ8410
- Opposite side stamped with letter A and some other proof marks
- Includes original Vetterli scabbard that has been armory shortened
- Great overall condition
- Lock / release working order
