Make me an offer on this is very nice 90s vintage made in Japan Weatherby Mark V bolt action rifle, right handed, chambered in caliber 30:06 Springfield. This gun was a gift to my father who only shot it the range a time or two and never hunted it. It lived in the gun safe since. Gun features the grooved curved trigger, Weatherby Ventilated butt pad, checkered fore arm & pistol grip stock, and sling studs. The Bluing is in good condition, slightly mottled with no rust or freckling apparent. The stock shows very few marks, with no chips or cracks. of course, the bore is shiney bright with strong rifling and magazene holds 5 rounds. Included is an exceptional Shepherd 3-10 variable scope in I believe 42mm. I see these scopes selling on Ebay and other sites at $800 to $1000. waterproof, fogproof and 50 caliber proof performance. The book has these rifles retailing at an average of about $1200. I believe you will see nice ones like this selling from $1400 to $1600 without scopes.

This groundbreaking achievement was designed specifically for the high pressures at which the Weatherby belted magnum cartridges operated, and would elevate the Weatherby company to the status of a major player in the rifle business. In the early years the Mark V rifles were manufactured by J. P. Sauer and Sohn in Germany. Subsequently, and for many years, they were produced in Japan by Miroku. In 1995 production was moved to the United States.
