The Serial Number of this rifle puts manufacture date 03/1945. The barrel is also Springfield manufacture from 11/1965. The metal is in very good shape with few defects. The wood looks really good, with few defects, but it has been sanded and refinished with a glossy lacquer. It will make a great display piece or shooter. .30-06 Springfield
