Description:
Winchester Model 70 chambered in .270 Winchester. This beautiful specimen was manufactured in 1948. The 24" barrel has a highly polished deep blue finish however is is showing fine scratches and small dings. Muzzle is unblemished but the bluing has worn off, the bore is bright and shiny. Checkered walnut stock, a few small handling dents and a bit of discoloration where the stock meets the butt plate. Sling swivels has a Hunter (model (200-1) 1" wide military-style sling with brass frogs. Hooded bead front sight; rear sight has been removed (not included) and replaced with a Redfield slot blank to protect the dovetail. Pentax variable power scope, 2x to 7x, with duplex recticle is mounted on Redfield bases.
