Description:
I really think that the artistry of world reknown Master Engraver Josef Fugger that is beautifully on display here says it all!  The birds, the  dogs, the hunter, the oak leaves, the flowers, the trees and even the borders are spectacularly detailed and masterfully executed.

Other than that the canvas for Mr. Fugger's work is a Belgian 12 gauge sidelock SxS shotgun.  Not certain of the manufacture date.  The gun has 30" barrels both with .729" bores and stamped 18.5 which converts to .7284. On top of the barrel is a raised, hand filed, taper solid rib, inscribed H. Antoine, address and Paris.  The right bore has .009" SK/IC choke and the left at .030" Full.

Double triggers with the front articulating.  Hand detachable sidelocks, automatic safety

The handsome French Walnut straight grip stock has a 14 1/4" LOP to the checkered butt; 1 1/2" drop at comb and 2 1/4" drop at heel with significant 1/2" cast for a right hand shooter.  The matching splinter forearm has an Anson push button release at the forearm tip.

Weight is 6 lbs. 8 oz. and the gun handles with easy and is actually quite "lively".

There is a "mystery" silver piece in the bottom of the forearm.  Why its there?  Maybe for initials?

Condition is very good.  The barrels are rust blued with some very fine traces of surface rust that needs to be polished with 0000 steel wool.  The frame is nearly perfect.  The wood is a dark oil finish with no cracks or breaks..a testimony to the quality of the fitting and there are just a few light handling marks.

Perfect gun for Vintage shooting events.
