This New In Box firearm is being sold through our Gun Library. This bolt action rifle is a Steyr Arms GmbH Mannlicher Scout chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. It has a 19" threaded fluted barrel, a forearm that contains an integral bipod, as well as an accessory mounting rail, a butt stock containing a socket for a spare, loaded magazine, a Direct Trigger, an adjustable LOP hard black rubber butt pad, and a top picatinny rail. The integral bipod is nicely executed and incorporates enough swiveling capability to handle uneven ground. Based solely on its configuration, and from a pragmatic position, the Steyr Scout Rifle is a truly fantastic general-purpose rifle. By the same token, the 6.5 Creedmoor is a fabulous general-purpose cartridge. Steyr built its Scout Rifle around the company's SBS bolt system, which very well might be the safest bolt-action ever engineered. It has a three-position safety that is configured as a roller wheel and is located on the top center of the grip just behind the action. The roller wheel has a lock button that must be depressed to move the wheel to the center or most-forward position. And, while in the most-rearward position, the bolt is locked, and the sear and firing pin are blocked. This design feature was incorporated so that paratroopers could safely jump from airplanes with a loaded and ready-to-fire rifle. It would make an excellent truck gun. It comes with a hard black plastic padded case, owner's manual, three detachable sling loops, muzzle protector, warranty card, warranty registration card, and two five round detachable magazines. 6.5 Creedmoor
