Listed is Colt New Army Model 1903 DA .38. "U.S. ARMYMODEL 1903" and "No.242383" engraved on the butt of the revolver.
This model was ordered by the U.S. Army after the success of the Navy version. All military issued models are made only in .38 Special. The only difference between the Navy version compared to the Army is that the Army revolver has a 2nd set of locking notches. This revolver has a lanyard ring on the butt. Left side of the receiver is stamped with "K.S.M." inspector mark and "1904" date.
This revolver retains approximately 80% to 85% of its original finish. It has plain uncheckered wood grips, which are in excellent condition with only minor dings and scratches.
