Description:
An Early & Scarce U.S. Civil Military Issued Colt Third Model Percussion Dragoon Revolver In Fine Untouched Condition. Serial #13,306, all matching numbers. Made in 1853, all original and complete. The revolver has fine metal, markings, and edges. It has a nice cylinder scene including the "U.S.M.R." markings above the serial number. There is some light wear in small areas on it. It is marked "U.S." on the frame below the "COLT'S PATENT" markings. All of the metal on the revolver has a natural darkening even patina throughout it. The brass backstrap and trigger guard are untouched with a darkened natural color to them. All the screws on the pistol are nice. The original grips are full and nice throughout. There is a small #66 stamped on both sides of the bottom of the grips and on the bottom of the backstrap in between them. This is some type of military marking. The left side of the grip has a visible U.S. Inspectors Cartouche on it. This Is An All Original & Nice Looking Example Of An Early & Scarce U.S. Civil War Military Issued Colt Third Model Percussion Dragoon Revolver. This U.S. Civil War Colt Dragoon Would Be A Fine Addition To Any Collection!
