This gun is in excellent condition as refinished. Grips are very fine. All markings are present and sharp. This gun works perfectly. These guns were made to compete with the Colt 1911. This pistol was loved by the trial testers for its accuracy and handling, but had issues with the magazine release as well as an overly complicated disassembly compared to the 1911. According to U.S. Military Automatic Pistols 1894-1920 by Edward Scott Meadows, only 13 of these guns were produced this one being serial number 18. It is possible this is the highest serial number known! This is an incredibly rare opportunity to on an early contender to the Colt 1911! SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
