"Serial number 24398. Made in 1861. 44 Caliber with a 8" barrel. This is an early model with the 4 screw frame. This gun is in excellent condition with almost all of the original blue on the barrel, and back strap. The cylinder has most of the original finish with the finish slightly toning. The frame and loading lever has vivid bright case colors. The grips are excellent with a sharp cartouche on the left hand side. The trigger guard even has original varnish remaining. This top notch early 4 screw Colt 1860 army. The guns you find this nice are normally a lot later. It is difficult to find a martial 4 screw in this condition because of these guns were issued and used extensively
