Listed is a Smith & Wesson K-38 Combat Masterpiece "Pre-Model 15" in .38 special.
This is a double action revolver built on the square butt K Target 5 screw frame with a pinned 4" barrel.
It is marked "38 S&W Special CTG" on the right side of the barrel.
It has a "Baughman Quick Draw plain ramp base front sight and a Micrometer click adjustable rear sight, diamond walnut grips, and an original K prefix serial number.
These were manufactured from 1949-1957. The K-38 Combat Masterpiece was then manufactured as a Model 15 from then on.
This revolver is in excellent condition and retains approximately 90% to 95% of its original finish. It has some slight turn marks on the cylinder.
