Our Store number is (859) 371-3900 Description: Listed is a Harper Ferry percussion rifle in .54 caliber. This rifle is in very good condition and comes with original bayonet. The stock is in very good shape and has a brass patch box. Inside the patchbox is a hand written note with the history of the rifle by the original owner. The barrel and bore are in Very good shape. The lock and flash pan are in very good shape. You can now own a piece of history. The letter in the patchbox explains the progression of the rifle and where it was issued, who bored and rifled the barrel and fitted the bayonet. The eagle that is suppose to be on the reciever has been removed and some other minor modifications have been made, that makes the historian believe that the weapon was captured and reissued to the south during the Civil War.
