S O L D.............LAYAWAY..... Serial no. 92175 [upper tang], .52 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Saddle ring. Right side of receiver marked: R.S. LAWRENCE PAT. / APRIL 12TH 1859 / C. SHARP'S PAT. / OCT. 5TH, 1852. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate. The Sharps New Model 1863 Saddle Ring Carbine is a variant of the Sharps carbine, a renowned firearm from the American Civil War era. Developed by Christian Sharps, the Sharps carbine was recognized for its accuracy, reliability, and innovative breech-loading mechanism.
Condition: Very good+....... Finish primarily a bright gray patina with honest age, handling wear and NO patches of pitting. Scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore.
