This specific Winchester 1897 is a real Trench Gun that was modified. It now has a permanently affixed Cutts Compensator to reduce recoil. A Gunsmith or avid enthusiasts could restore this 1897 to her former Trench Gun glory.
In its current configuration it is still very collectible but would be worth much more if restored properly.
Original stock is cracked where the grip and receiver meet. Still completely functional.
