A Desirable Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver With A Six Inch Barrel, Inscribed On The Backstrap. "S.M.C. Co., No. 6" Inside Its Original Colt Factory case With Its Accessories In Fine All Original Condition. The revolver is serial #282,825, and has all matching numbers. It was made in 1866, and could have made its way out west.The revolver has fine metal, markings & edges. The cylinder has a full and very crisp cylinder scene that with no wear on it. The barrel on the pistol has a fine plum patina on it with original blue showing throughout in areas. The cylinder has the same natural patina on it with some areas showing areas of blue around it. The frame, hammer, & loading lever all retain fine original case colors on them. All screws are fine throughout with some original color on them. The brass backstrap and trigger guard are fine throughout. The original grips are excellent and retain their original varnish on them. They fit perfectly. It has an excellent action and bore in it. The original "Colt Factory Casing & Accessories" are all fine throughout. The case has a very fine burgundy interior with all original partitions inside it. The accessories include a "Colt Eagle & Stars Pocket Flask, A Colt's Patent Straight leg Pocket Bullet Mold, An Eley Cap Tin, A Key, & Some Original Lead Balls". The Entire Set Looks Wonderful Together And appears To Have Always Been That Way1
