Description:
The Auto Mag 180 is a semi-automatic short-recoil pistol designed for the .44 AMP cartridge. It features a six lug rotary bolt. The Auto Mag Corporation shipped the first pistol in August 1971 and filed for bankruptcy in May 1972. The company opened and closed under different ownership several times from 1973 through 1982. The pistol presented here was under the ownership of TDE (Trade Deed Estates) El Monte CA, and probably produced about 1973. A total of 9,000 pistols were produced during the lifespan of the company. The .44 AMP Cartridge is formed by trimmed .308 Win or .30-06 Sprg cases. Loaded ammunition is currently available. .44 AMP
