Offered up for sale is a Winchester Model 24 in 20ga. with 28-inch barrels. This shotgun is in excellent condition with only minimal wear, given its age. The Winchester Model 24 was intended to be an affordable, utility, field grade side-by-side. It first went into production in 1939 and stayed in the Winchester lineup until 1958. This 20ga. was manufactured at some point between 1948-1958 and has serial number 91181. This Model 24 came with blued receiver and barrels, a wide 7/16” raised solid rib, 2¾” chambers and modified and full chokes. It also has double triggers, spring powered extractors and a tang mounted automatic safety. The semi-pistol grip stock and semi-beavertail forend are made of uncheckered black walnut and are lacquer finished. The stock sports an original Winchester hard butt plate. This 20ga. with 28-inch barrels, weighs in at 6lbs. 12oz, has a LOP of 14 1/2”, with an approximate drop of 1½” at the comb and 2 3/8” at heel.
