S/N 20705 with matching scribed bolt made in 1939. Excellent condition throughout with lustrous original finishes showing about 97%+ with light handling marks. Incredible workmanship and details on these early type guns with a gorgeous rust blued barrel and polished carbonum blued receiver. The perfect matted rear bridge remains undrilled of course. I have also personally verified that the chamber remains a true 22 Hornet and has never been reamed to the disastrous to value "K" Hornet. The rear sight consists of the correct factory installed early Lyman 48 WJS with thimble knob. All component #s are matching on this sight. There is also the proper Lyman 12S filler in the rear sight barrel dovetail. 24" barrel with minty bore and perfect, crisp mechanics as usual. Regarded by those who would know as the finest production sporting rifle ever conceived, and the one to which all others are compared.
