I'm selling my collection. Here is a Rare Antique L.C. Smith Grade 3 side by side Hammerless Engraved/ Damascus 12 Ga Shotgun. FFL is not required for the transfer. It’s chambered 12 GA. Last Patent 1886 produced c. 1890s. Beside the famous British makers Purdey & Holland & Holland set up the tone for the classic gentleman's sidelock of the 19th & 20th centuries, only one firearm manufacturer emerged with the mechanical skills to produce an American hammerless sidekick, an elegant, sturdy shotgun that took the name of its creator "L.C Smith or "Sweet Elsie, as this well designed side by side was affectionately called. In good working in a superb condition as an old professional re-blue/refinished, action & lock up are tight, 27", choked Improved and Modified with clean chambers, good shiny bore. Double triggers. Lightly engraved, with its 3 positions safety. The factory finish & damascus rate 75-85%, original markings are sharp and well defined. 14" LOP the stock with pistol grip, wood of forearm, the walnut burl stock has with its old & tired rubber butt-plate. Serial numbers "1037" are all matching, marking proof are deep and well defined. I described it to the best of my knowledge. It's a very rare & collectible shotgun sold more than likely under its price. What is not mentioned in the description is clearly visible on the pictures. Please don't ask for extra pics.
