Payment Types Accepted: PERSONAL MONEY ORDER OR PERSONAL CHECK ACCEPTED Description: Barrels are 28" with 2.75 in chambers in the desireable Mod/IC (**/**-). Single selecting trigger. All matching numbers. Very good condition overall. No evidence of a history of rust or extended exposure to moisture. Extremely well done professional wood refinish with aftermarket butt pad installed (Uncle Mike's, by Micheal's of Oregon). Nice fit and finish. Updated information 6.23.24: The factory stock LOP for 1956 Grade I hunting models was set at 14.25 in, with a 1 5/8 in drop at heel and 2 1/2 in drop at comb, with an overall weight for 28 in ribbed Grade I Standard weight of 7lbs 12 oz. The one offered here has a 13 7/8 in LOP (with recoil pad included), so I conclude the stock was shortened by about 1 3/8" before adding the recoil pad (the recoil pad is about an inch thick). This is corroborated by the fact that the overall weight of this superposed is 7.05 lbs suggesting weight loss associated with the shorter wood stock. This Superposed was used in a very cold weather environment so the shortened LOP accommodates the added clothing layering for those accustomed to a longer LOP. The weight reduction and MOD/IC chokes also make a nice pairing for fast moving targets. The breech lever position is at 6 o'clock (in lock up position); and lock up condition and function of the ejectors appears to be as designed and fully functional. I've used the firearm and never encountered any ejection issues.
