Description:
Colt US Army Mod 1901 chambered in .38 Long Colt. This single/double action revolver has a swing out cylinder. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT D.A. 38". The cylinder latch is marked "K / 2595". The frame that lies behind the cylinder is marked "L / U / 8241" and the extractor rod collar is marked "k / 8241". The cylinder is marked "RAC". The left side of the frame is marked "RAC". The bottom of the grip is marked "U.S. / ARMY / MODEL / 1901" and has the serial number, "No / 62 / 595". The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT F A MFG CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED AUG. 5, 1884 NOV. 6, 88 MAR. 5, 95.". The barrel length is 6 inches. The front sight is a blade that is fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch in the top strap. The grips are two-piece wood and are serialized to the revolver. The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. The pistol is in very good condition. .38 Colt
