Description:
An Ithaca LeFever Nitro Special in 20 gauge. The word "rare" is overused in gun descriptions, so I will say that this Nitro Special sports the "seldomly encountered" single, non-selective trigger. 28" M/F barrels shine and are free of pits. Remnant of small dent removed on right barrel, too tiny to photgraph and barely enough to even feel. Ivory front bead and white mid-bead that may also be ivory. Action is tight, with 2 3/4" chambers. Trigger and safety function properly. Weight is 6 lbs, 4 ozs. Stock has been cut short, probably for a youngster, leaving a LOP of about 12 3/4" over an SKB marked butt plate that is functional but not professionally fitted. For an additional $100, I will supply and install a classic 1" thick Silvers-style solid red recoil pad which will bring the LOP up to about 13 1/2", which would likely fit most shooters between 5'2" to 5' 6" tall, assuming average arm length. Buyer contributes $50 toward cost of insured USPS ground shipping to your FFL. 3 day non-shooting, non-disassembly inspection period runs from receipt by your FFL. If buyer opts for the 1" fitted pad, gun is "as is" and not returnable. Feel free to ask any questions. The photos tell the story regarding condition.
