Winchester Model 21 - 20 gauge Skeet Grade 1939
The Winchester Model 21 side-by-side shotgun was the last of the American "best guns" to be introduced around 1930. The Model 21 represents the pinnacle of American shotgun design, and it is built of the finest steel ever used in a double gun. They are extremely strong and well built, but often times because of this they are a little heavier than similar guns of other makers. This Model 21 20 gauge Skeet Grade is quite unique and rare, in that it is likely one of the lightest you will ever find at 5lbs 15oz. Most Skeet grade Model 21 20 gauge shotguns tend to run 6lbs 8oz or heavier. The Cody letter indicates it was ordered by Baldwin & Welcomer Company of Pennsylvania. This gun would make an excellent investment and a fine addition to any Model 21 lovers collection. Out of the 32,000 guns Winchester produced, you will likely not run across another one like this, especially in 20 gauge!
