Synopsis: Very Early, High Condition, Smith & Wesson, 39, Boxed, 38482, FB00991 Description: Classic, early production, S&W Model 39, Cal 9mmP, made 1963, boxed with dated registration card and parts schematic/literature in correct box with matching label. Standard serrated ramp front sight, windage adjustable rear sight, safety/decocking lever, long extractor. Left side of slide with usual address reflecting manufacturer and registration. Right side of slide marked pat’s pending. Frame with full 5 digit serial number/Model 39. As an early pistol there is no “-number suffix”. S&W logo on right side of frame and repeated on each of the inserted grip medalions. Fixed lanyard ring at base of backstrap. Correct magazine with 7 indicator holes and caliber/S&W marking on floorplate. Complete with dated registration card from 4/1963, schematic/literature, rust retardent paper, and shipping box with matching end label. Condition: EXC+ original condition with trace muzzle wear and a few miniscual handling marks. Not thinning or wear on either front or back strap. Grips with light handling marks as carefully photographed. EXC magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Comparable condtion paperwork. Box with scuffs. End label, unusually white/crisp, may be a replacement.
