Synopsis: Attractive Mauser Banner Luger, 1939 date, Commercial, Correct Magazine, 5664v, FB00785 Description: Mauser Banner Luger made in 1939 for commercial distribution with rust blued components and strawed/fire blued small parts. Usual 5” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and notched rear sight. 1939 chamber date. Mauser Banner on forward toggle link full serial number on forward frame and repeated on left side of barrel extention. The barrel is unmarked. Last two digits on all the usual small parts, including the rear toggle pin. Unnumbered beech grips are replacements. Nickled magazine with aluminum plug “7254b”. Condition: Generally very good, the barrel, sideplate, and grip screws having been refinished, grip straps with thinning and toning as carefully pictured. The rear sight has been vertically shortened and opened to convert the “V” to a “U”. Stained grips with crisp checkering. Bright bore w/ crisp rifling.
