Description:
This exquisitely engraved gun is one from renowned master engraver Angelo Bee's personal collection. It is called the “gargoyle” gun, as gargoyles are a major element of the very ornate and beautiful scroll work on the receiver and trigger guard. This is a somewhat rare gun as it has a 30-inch barrel with full and modified chokes. It also has a hand engraved Midas ventilated rib. The engraving is a replica of the Browning 12-gauge superposed that is shown on page 151 of the book: “Browning Superposed: John M. Browning’s Last Legacy” by Ned Schwing. The gargoyle design was created by Felix Funken, who was the head engraver at Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal Belgium, for many years. He was also Angelo Bee's teacher and mentor. This gun was a 3 year a collaboration between Claudio Perfido, Rocco Capece, both Belgian engravers and Angelo Bee that was finished in 2021. The custom stock, which features a checkered butt plate and a round knob pistol grip, is made of a gorgeous piece of Turkish walnut that was shaped in Belgium. Offered at $35,000.00, OBO.
