Description:
S&W Military & Police fitted with a 4 inch pinned barrel, fixed sights, checkered diamond service grips, is built on a 5-screw frame, blue finished with color case hardened finshed hammer and trigger, and chambered in .38 Special. This late 1940's vintage S&W M&P is in very good condition, retaining 40% blue finish, with the barrel turning a grey patina with corrosion pitting. The hammer retains 30% of its original finish, and the trigger approximately 20%. The grips fit well and are in good condition, showing much wear but no cracks or major chips. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, with one small corrosion spot, and the action functions perfectly. It is all numbers matching (Frame to cylinder, barrel, and grips). Definitely a shooter S&W M&P Revolver.
