Description:
The Portuguese 937 service rifle was contracted through Germany to arm the Portuguese army in 1937 and later on in 1941. This particular rifle was one of the rifles contracted in 1941 and is designated as a Portuguese 937B. These Portuguese rifles also have WWII German stamps and Proof marks on them as well. The 937 rifles also never really saw any combat since the Portuguese remained neutral throughout the duration of WWII. This rifle is in great condition considering its age. The only thing of note is that this rifle has a small amount of surface rust on the trigger guard and magazine plate. A good portion of the bluing shows some wear throughout the rifle, but is in good condition overall. The wood shows some signs of use, but the stamps on the stock are still in-tact, although they are very faint. 8x57mm
