This is a very well made pistol that has clear "GIBBS TIFFANY & CO (American Eagle) / STURBRIDGE MASS" and "(E.) HUTCHINGS & CO / AGENTS-BALT’O" markings along the top flat. The barrel has a dark, mottled brown patina at the muzzle, which fades to mottled gray at the rear sight. The brass grip frame has an overall yellow-ochre patina and there are numerous small handling marks and minor surface blemishes on both sides of the striped maple grips. These are the very nice underhammer pistols, and this example is in very good-fine condition. Antique SOLD Antique: Yes |
