All original & Complete. The long rifle has very nice untouched metal with clear markings. It is very clearly marked on the top of the barrel behind the sight, "R.A. Ayres". Ayres was an American Percussion Kentucky Gun Maker that lived & worked in Alexandria Virginia. The rifle is marked on the engraved lock "KITTREDGE, CINCINNATI" and fits perfectly. The barrel has nice edges and a dark brown & natural patina throughout it. The original tiger striped wood stock is fine throughout with no cracks or damage to it. It has a wonderful color and look to it. The brass trigger guard and butt plate are both fine and untouched. The action does work but it needs some adjusting with the set screw. The bore is .36 caliber and the barrel is rifled. The Entire Fine Kentucky Rifle measures 58 inches long and the barrel measures 42 inches in length. This Is A Fine Example Of An Early "R.A.
