A U.S. Military Issued Second Model 1866 Allin Breech Loading Trapdoor Rifle Conversion From A Springfield 1863 Musket In NIce Condition. All original and complete. It is in 50 caliber. The Rifle has nice metal throughout with fine markings on the lock and barrel. It is dated 1863 on the lock and 1866 on the top of the breech door. All of the metal in in the bright. The rifle has nice wood throughout with no breaks or cracks in it. There is a outline of the original U.S. Inspectors Cartouche on the backside of the wood opposite the lock. It has a fine rifled bore and a very tight and crisp action. This Is A Very Nice Example Of A U.S .Military Issued Second Model 1866 Allin Breech Loading Trapdoor Rifle Conversion!
