If you're not a Colt fan like myself, that's okay, I've got other great brands as well! I enjoy the history attached to some of these firearms. Many of us gun enthusiasts like to say, "If this gun could talk, the stories it would share.." and I believe it! That's how I got myself into this hobby turned business. I inherited my father's handguns when he passed and just fell in love with it. It's a way that makes me feel closer to him and his legacy. I'm passionate for what I do and fortunate to have made this into a business. Let Lion Firearms help you find your next family heirloom. I pride myself in getting high quality pieces for my customers. Description: Here is a very nice example of a last year production Series 70 .45ACP from 1982 before transitioning over to the Series 80 Colts in 1983. This one does have some handling marks as you can see in the pictures but she is in overall great shape. The original factory grips are nice and sharp. One interesting thing to note is the "A" prefix on the serial number. From what I have gathered, as we know Colt has been known to not waist any parts throughout the years. Also we have learned that they would make mistakes with their rollmarks from time to time. If Colt, after stamping the serial number on a frame, they made the mistake of using a serial number twice on two frames, they would simply add a prefix. In this case they added the letter "A". This would make it a different frame and they would get it out to the market. You'll find a few examples out there like this. If you are a fan of Colt 1911s, this piece would compliment your collection without a doubt. This is not a curio & relic so it does NOT make it California compliant unfortunately. Unless you are active Law Enforcement, then we have no issues getting her to your local FFL in CA. Feel free to call or text for additional pictures and videos, 602-702-6224 thank you!
