**SOLD** Thank you, Jason in Alaska.... Up for sale is a very well made in Germany Waffenfabrik Mauser 98 bolt action MATCHING NUMBERS on the action, bolt and floor plate . Custom made in Germany. This is very well crafted rifle. When I bought this rifle a few years back, the seller advised that it is a 30-06 Springfield and claimed that this rifle was made by Paul Jaeger, although I see, no evidence of that or a caliber stamping. The barrel looks to be approximately 24 inches, great Bore/rifling, barrel band with sling stud, Sculpted cheek piece, dark walnut stock with checkering, there are some scratches and gouges from use, but NO cracks or splits! Has a highly engraved steel buttplate which opens and has a storage compartment with some cleaning utensils, has a solid steel hinged floor plate, which is stamped Germany. The grip cap is also made of steel. The forend tip is made from Genuine stag bone. The action is super smooth. Has a front site with a rear adjustable peep site. The top of the receiver is not drilled and tapped, has a side mount steel base plate for scope mounting.
